MISSION SUPPORT
A little assistance.
Help with the launcher, the leaderboard, and the occasional end of a solar system.
How do I join the Android beta?
Follow the beta joining guide: join the Planet Removal Google Group, opt into the Google Play closed test, then use its download link to install. Use the same Google account throughout. Joining the group alone does not enroll you in the test.
How do I launch a fireball?
Start or continue a run. Pull down and back from the launcher handle near the bottom of the screen, then release. A longer pull adds power. The planets keep moving while you aim, and the star and nearby planets bend the shot. You have unlimited shots, with one fireball in flight at a time.
How do I complete a contract?
Remove every planet marked as a gold target. Hit an exposed orange core, or reduce the target to 35% of its material or less. The cyan client planet must remain undamaged and the star must stay stable. A successful contract unlocks the next contract.
Why did the job fail?
Any actual loss of client material ends the job. Fireballs, hot stellar droplets, and an expanding or erupting star can all cause damage. Removing too much stellar material also makes the star unstable. The replay screen explains the cause, while destruction keeps unfolding in the background.
Where is my progress saved?
Checkpoints, statistics, and settings are saved locally on your device. A new run resets that run’s level and score while retaining lifetime statistics. Clearing Android app storage removes the app’s local save and preferences. In the browser edition, clearing this site’s browser data removes its progress and settings. Android and browser progress are separate. The leaderboard does not back up your current game.
How do I bring my browser progress to billcorps.com?
Browser saves stay with the website address where you played. Before the former GitHub Pages site closes, open the game there in the same browser and device, choose Settings, then Save backup. Open the game on billcorps.com, choose Settings, then Restore backup and select the downloaded file. Restoring replaces the current browser save, so back it up first if you have already played here. Android progress is unaffected by the website move.
How does the global leaderboard work?
Open Leaderboard from the game menu and connect with Google Play Games. The game uses one global, all-time board for your best run score. Leaderboard access requires an internet connection and configured Google Play Games services. Your profile visibility settings control whether your player profile is publicly visible. You can continue playing without signing in.
Where do ads appear?
In the Android app, native ads can appear in the main menu, pause screen, screen after losing, and leaderboard. Choosing Play again after a loss has a one-in-ten chance of an interstitial ad, when one is available. A replay proceeds if an ad is unavailable. The browser edition has no ads. See the privacy policy for data and advertising choices.
Can I turn down the effects or sound?
The game’s settings separately control sound effects, generated space music, haptics, and reduced visual effects. Pause or use Android Back to suspend the job.
What devices can play?
Planet Removal is built for Android 8.0 and newer with OpenGL ES 2 support. Performance depends on the device. Core gameplay and local saves work without a network connection; ads and the global leaderboard use online services.
Can I play in my browser?
Open the browser game on a recent browser with WebAssembly and WebGL 2 support. Touch controls work on Android; a mouse works on desktop. Pull back from the launcher and release to fire. Downloading the game requires a connection. Browser progress stays in this browser on this device.
